Build - Day 2 - July 13, 2011

Today wasn't nearly as exciting as yesterday -- that  would be pretty tough to top -- but it is so fun to see the progress. The agenda today was to get the footings in, or as Niels would explain to me, the foundation's foundation.

The advantage of living close to Amish country - Amish-built stuff...

We are now officially a construction site...

Garage front footers, a little deeper as planned due to a layer of organic clay we had to dig through.

My shadow... oh, and some footers for the front of the house...

By the end of the day the footers are pretty much done.

Build - Day 1 - July 12, 2011

Today we got the sewer and water tap-in and the basement dug. Tomorrow and early Thursday the footers will be poured and the ICF stacking (now using Logix Platinum blocks) will start Friday.
