Landscaping Progress: Day 3

Today's delay is brought to us by a broken down delivery truck. Instead of soil and rocks being delivered to us in a big truck, our landscaper had to pick up four loads in his own small truck. We still saw some good progress today on the rock wall.

D holds his hands to avoid digging in the fun dirt pile. My mantra, "Look with your eyes, not your hands," was put to good use today.
We had to get some more big rocks to complete the wall. In the background, you can see the other load of topsoil.
The small rocks will cover the fabric. This will protect the drain in front of the window.
The wall extends around to the front yard.
The small rocks have been spread out.
Full view of the wall.
View from inside.
Close up of the wall from the egress window.
We received feedback on our wishlist. I'll make a new post with the current contenders. It's a little bit like building the house. It's easy to think of the finishes, but it's the foundation that's more important (and costly). Since I know so little about landscaping development, I'm trying to get a grasp on the foliage finishes. It's a relief to know that our guy has a vision, and to trust from his previous work, that he'll make our yard look fantastic.
